Old School Hero
hello all -

I am trying to see which model this frame is. The frame has been repainted, and from what research I have done (99% from this site), it seems that it does not seem to be a Kona Hot.

My initial research:
The serial number reads H3N1 5356, which means Kodaka 1993.
The downtube is not fluted and from what I can tell, it is ovalised only at the seattube at the BB area. No idea what tubing was used.
The dropouts are KONA.
The cablestop neat the seatpost does not look like it is original.
Seattube
C-C: 15"
C-T: 18"
toptube
C-C:22"
headtube: 11cm

Thanks for any help!
cheers, zl

btw - i am still crossing my fingers this could still be at least a rare obscure Explosif or even Hot!

A Hot would have TET and 3 digit stamp, and the welds are not Teesdale,my early Explosifs do not have the KONA dropouts..sorry.

Re:

I know hots of that vintage won't have that hole in the seat stay brace. Dunno about explosives. I think they used to say those holes meant one thing......Taiwan, but that's not really true either.
