I thought it was a coincidence that 2 Gator Attitudes in similar condition were available at the same time. The eBay listing makes NO mention of it being a respray though. 8) :? I think that's a material omission on the seller's part but that's just me.

Hardly trying to hide anything when the bike has already been all over the forum as re painted for weeks - shamus the Klein detective keeping the world safe from unscrupulous ebayers

While it's fair to say that most, if not all, RetroBike members are also eBay shoppers, you can't say that most, if not all eBay shoppers are also RetroBike members....so not really fair to say that everyone looking at your bike on eBay knows it's been repainted. It does seem you went out of your way to comment on the condition of the bike's paint:

"LINEAR GATOR FADE PAINT IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION

MC1 BAR STEM COMBINATION (135mm WITH RISE) UNMARKED PAINT"

So why not add that it has been resprayed to a very high standard or something to that effect? I'm sure you know that a Klein with original paint in that condition would bring more money than another Klein that's been resprayed even to an excellent condition. It's not too late to modify your listing.

as long as it has that gloss look what kleins are famous for and the paint job is up to factory standard i dont see a problem.

I wonder if im allowed to see it before i start going and bidding silly money.

thanks andy

x2

You really need to mention that in the listing...

comments taken on board, however the term excellent and unmarked is quite simply an accurate description of the condition of the paint not it's originality.

Amendment to follow to ensure I sleep well tonight!

I got quite excited (by my standards!) by this which is apparently less than 5 miles from where I sit. Wondered how I've never clocked it OTR. If it's a new paint job and presumably a resto, that could explain it.

Excitement largely evaporated. Not surprisingly, I also think it should say a respray job.

Well I would be disappointed after winning the auction and then notice that it´s not original paint.
I would like to get at least part of my money back...

There is nothing wrong about re-painting and Jon does really a great job.
