surely one of the attraction of a Klein is its original paint .

Its not only Klein who can spray a frame. I think storck do a very fine job if not better. and if i remember rightly so does troy lee.

you're so wise and absolutely right. I must have been duped and didn't even realize that instead of a 1993 "Attitude", I have instead a mid90's Huffy that was cleverly repainted by a Chinese man in a back alley somewhere. I guess the "Attitood" on the top tube should have been a big hint. Oh woe is me. :cry: Pardon me while I crawl away and sulk for a while in my "Goochi" loafers and knockoff Rolex. :roll:

agree with you , but then it is not a Klein paint on a Klein frame .

It is a Storck or a troy lee paint on a Klein frame .

is it more or less valuable , I dont know . but it should be mentioned when selling the bike .

Curious point to make, can't help but think you're just being a keyboard warrior. I've never seen a fake Klein - the paintwork and more importantly proprietary features on the top end frames would be particularly hard to replicate. Although of course we now know Jonrock does good spray jobs.
If you have seen a decent fake Klein (or any other frame for that matter) from China I'm willing to be schooled....

You miss the point. Nobody is arguing Klein are the only people who can spray a frame. What others have mentioned (and P3tester has taken on board to his credit) is that the implication was that the frame had its original paint. Now it has been clarified in the auction I see no further issue here. As bushpig and others have said if I was to win that to find it was a respray I would be rightly irritated however good the spray work.

yes i was being sarky about the fake chinese but yes i can see the point if you expected original and got respray you would not be happy.

as long as it has that gloss look what kleins are famous for and the paint job is up to factory standard i dont see a problem.

I wonder if im allowed to see it before i start going and bidding silly money.

weren't you the guy who would not bid silly money on the c-26, yet you would bid silly money on this?

this is a bike where the tubes stay together not somthing that looks like it come out of a skip called the c26. and also please note that it is a respray not a reproduction. when i get it i am going to spray it hot pink would that mean the bike is something other than a real original klein. and also £6000 on c26 is silly money compared to couple grand on a klein.

ah opinions...

What can i say i went to look at the bike and what a stunner. the m900 is like it just came out the box and its that nice the chain still had what was like original wax.

The frame look like it was factory resprayed and a little inspection of the mission control headset said it all for me imaculate.

I could not go home and sleep right if i did not take it with me. I now feel my search is nearly over, the only thing now is chase down the adroit same spec and in sunburst and my life will be complete. My misses is shouting at me as i speak because i could ill afford, and she is not listening when i say but its a klein. she says you have a klein over there and over there and over there but as i keep saying there not the same.

she has gone in one of them women sulks, but hey i got my dream bike (well nearly).

I think i will call all the boys round to coo and ah or would that be sending her over the edge.

what a bike just like the test bike i rode at the malverns all them years ago.
