1991 Klein Adroit Ultra Light

Re:

I LOVE IT! Well done Martin!

BITD, my boss at the bike shop bought a backfire Adroit with the UL package. I remember helping him build it up, drooling the entire time.
This build brings back some great memories.

Re:

Nice job Martin. Interesting that the spec in the catalogue has a Turbo saddle...not exactly lightweight  Looks better with a Flite anyway. May be why yours is 19.9 and not 20.5lbs? Are the Deathgrips lighter than Ritcheys?

Re:

I took livery with the Flite seat thinking maybe they were not available at the time of catalog printing which would have been in 1990.

I got this for myself and set forth with the build with that mindset. I now find myself with a few more Adroits than I probably need and not a lot of room for garage queens. I may loan it out for display or something. But it seems sort of silly to keep this and the Storm Adroit just hanging around. So we'll see, for now I'll just enjoy it a a Sunday coffee bike

Wow this is a Klein I'd like to have!
Never been a big fan of the fancy ano stuff like you said, this looks very classy this way.

The spec Ritcheys (which I have, but just felt that these amberwall DGs were so much cooler) are 1.9s, so I guess they would weigh less than then 2.1 DGs. So I probably could drop the weight even more, just don't like the look of an Adroit with such skinny tires. I have a pair of amberwall 2.35s but they were really dry in a couple spots. So, not even good enough for display really.
