I'm using a Syncros 117mm (maybe 118mm???) with my Revo on the RM Ti and clearance is good. I can't even recall how I managed to score the BB in the first place. Might even be Ti but I can't remember. :?

Regarding rings, I say outer two logo's out. My set of compacts I recently picked up along with black forged cranks has to be that way since they're ramped. Only the inner HAS to be facing in, as there's a cut out around the holes for the bolts to fit within.

These Syncros forged are gonna go on my future incoming RM project which I hope to getting soon! :D

I'm only saying what the manual says ;)
In reality, You have different rings.
Look at the proper rings above, middle ring has a recess for the nut bit to sit flush in, so they'll screw in fully which isn't happening at the moment. It also stops that nut bit hitting the chain while on the granny.

Personally I would love somebody to send me a set of NOS rings to test this theory.. or even used with loads of life left. If attached to a nice set of crank arms even better. I've never had any of them

Syncros decals arrived from Manitou916 :D

I'm on the home stretch now.

some pics on my garish red wool blanket. Grrrrrrr

Now go put some 3M tape over them lovely cranks.

Yeah, I know. Those vinyl cut decals will last 3 minutes once I start riding it

But wouldn't covering them with 3M tape look tacky (pun intended) ?

Are you talking about this stuff?

No! Definitely NOT that. You want the clear 3m protective coating that you can get from auto detailing place to cover the front hood to protect from stone chips. ;)
