1988 Rocky Mountain Avalanche

Retro Guru
I've had this one sitting for a few months, and have been meaning to get it back together and gather up the parts. I came in pretty rough shape with most of the parts beyond worn and the BB, seatpost, stem, and headset seized...so it was a bit of a project to get it to the bare frame. My plan is to keep it mainly stock with Deore MT60 (will need some new bits), and use the original wheels, maybe put on a yellow Turbo saddle if I can find one. :)

Here's how I got it.

The paint had a lot of scratches and chips, so I searched for some touch up paint...after lots of poor matches, I ended up just using some model paint and mixing colours to get it close. It looks fine in the pics, but a bit off shade up close.

Finished this one just in time for some nice Fall riding! :D
Full Deore MT60 kit with original Ukai wheels and 105 headset.
I managed to find some MKS MR-1000 pedals that were original spec and
instead of a yellow Turbo saddle, I opted for a black Ritchey Logic saddle.
Also was lucky to find some IRC X1 Pro tires in great condition.
Onto the next project!
