Also, might be a 88? Both of my 89 Mirages (21" and 23" frames) have cantilevers to the rear. Is that full exage county as well?

I think the tyres may have been the humble central ridge Cheng Shin Amber wall in 1.95 width. Which would look terrible!

There’s these on eBay (not mine) that would clean up well and be appropriate in that they are Cheng Shin of similar vintage.

In the Lightweight catalogue the Avanti of ‘89 looks like it has Panaracer of some sort.

I'm now a pair of grips and cable outers away from a factory fresh '88 Raleigh Mirage. I may take it to the Malverns and show up all the willy swingers on their posh bikes.

This mirage was one of my favourite bikes in 3A's window in York... Jazzy decals and derailleurs that had a metallic colour on them..... I don't know why but always liked the trail font....

And It was a posh bike for some of us in 88.....
