Just cables to do now and this old girl will be ready to hit the trails with her new owner :) I will be using the original outers with new inners.

Pic of wheel was taken when wet, no tyre dressing. The SS's are going into my pile for use on my Merlin when it goes on the roller, the bikes going to look great when you put tan walls on it Ian :)

Bearings were good so gave them a clean and regrease.

I used Autosol until that run out, then brasso. Rear wheels done now so just chain and cabling to do once I've sorted out that front shifter issue.

Well some tyre dressing's tend to look really shiny so i wasn't sure wether they were dressed or wet so looking towards seeing the Merlin too as their lovely bikes to look at and yes the splash backs will just add that extra bit of character to the Fox ..

Well you said the wheels felt pretty good when spun them so it was just a case of wether the bearings needed a bit of a clean or not and regrease so just the shifter and cabling plus chain to sort so looking really good now and yep the Fox looks stunning outdoors with the wheels on 8) and i don't know why but when i saw it i got goose "bumps"  ..

I'm so looking forward towards seeing this little gem in the metal now as i really just can't wait 8) :xmas-wink: ..

Looks super, nicely done.

I'd get something on the saddle as it looks quite dry, neatsfoot oil if you have it

Where do you get hold of that from and not meaning to seem ignorant but i'd not heard of it before ..

Another rescued, ready to go to its new home.

Original accept for the BB which is now a Shimano cartridge UN55, front and seat QR's which were too rusty to save, middle ring which is a Shimano Biopace, freewheel and chain due to being worn. The tyres will be replaced with tan walls.

Very happy with the result, mechanically sound with no loss of its history. Hope you guys like it :)

No worries Ian, you will love her. Not taken her out yet as its been raining down in the South East since I finished, saddle height and bars aren't set at any particular height. I'm 5 11" myself. Plenty of scope for changing saddle and bar height on this though so fitting shouldn't be an issue for you. I gather your not a short arse

Well i didn't expect you to be out on a ride with her that quick mate but saying that if it had been myself getting her ready then i'd of probably got soaked by now   ..

The weather is rather sunny here in the NW and i've already fallen under her spell  so i just can't wait to have her here but i'll just have to wait a little won't i  .

As for my height well lets just say i'm no taller than you are so your setup should be pretty much the same as mine 8) but yes when i saw the Fox completed i thought are you another lanky devil as you know only too well theirs quite a few on here mate and thanks again for doing such a cracking job as she looks Amazing now she's ready ;) .

Ian .

Hey Tim have you done the honours yet and got my tyres today which fully enough look brand new so i'm well chuffed with them mate and will look great on the Fox ;) .

Glad the tyres arrived and look good, had I thought about it they could have come to me to be mounted, still gives you a job to do on this

Not had a chance to give it a test ride other than around the garden.
