1988 Falcon K2 needs a new home

Re:

This bike is now spoken for, in return for a charitable donation, probably to our local foodbank, unless the new owner has a preferred charity himself.

Thanks for all your interest.

Re:

Well, fortunately, I was working nearby yesterday & an early finish meant I had the time to pop over to Windermere & meet up with Tony & his wife.
I was welcomed with a nice brew as soon as I arrived which was most welcoming & a brief history of the bike, so I'm now the proud owner of the lovely Falcon K2.
It's actually in great condition & ready to ride, I'll probably just give it a quick clean-up for now, my intention is to keep it just as it is, I'll post some pictures of the components etc later but I think it has most of its original components, maybe with the exception of tyres.
I know there are maybe a couple on the forum who have or have had one, in fact, I believe back in October 2014 a K2 narrowly missed out on the Bike of the month!
Tony tells me it has been serviced regularly by the original LBS were he bought it from back in 1988 & it feels good enough to hop on & ride straight away which I going to do this weekend.
As Tony didn't want anything for the actual bike sale I made a cash donation which will go to Tony's local foodbank charity to whom Tony is the treasurer.
Many thanks for your hospitality Tony & rest assured I will look after this old girl & it will be doing many more thoroughly enjoyable miles I'm sure... :D

Glad it's found a good home! As I say, I liked mine.

Glad you like it, Graham - enjoy it!
Just one detail - the servicing has been done by one or two other local bike shops rather than the original supplier.
All the best,
Tony
