Yup, It was Deep Cove Bike Shop supplying the goods, back in the good old days
when mountain bikes were just beginning to evolve.
It definitely was an interesting time.

You mention that the stem and headset is an ahead-style one - could you give us more details on that setup? The one main photo at the start is the only one that shows the stem.

This CBR Unistem /Fork was a predecessor to the "Ahead set", way ahead of their time ( excuse the pun )
