1980s Tyre Clearances: Koga Ridge Runner etc...

Evening,

Sorry for the fairly obscure question, but does anyone have an idea what tyre clearance a 1988-1989 Koga MTB would have? Models like the Ridge Runner or Terra Runner, etc.

I think they had some version of Panaracer's Smoke/Dart tyres as standard, so 2.1" would probably work.

However, I've got another old MTB from the 80's that's too narrow for 53mm tyres, which is a bit frustrating.

I do remember having DH Magics fitted on my 1989 Koga-Miyata TerraRunner. No problem. DH Magic is 2.2
