I just finished this vintage Dawes
I have not been able to identify the model, looking at the headbadge, oiler on the BB, and the original Williams chainset (1962) it would be 1962 or 1963.
Seatpost diameter 26.4mm leads me to believe it is straight gauge Reynolds 531 or A&P tubing. I have nicknamed it "Black Shadow" - my dream motorbike
Lugwork is really nice, would stand out more with gold lug lining.
I have added a used 700x19c alloy wheelset of German manufacture with a coaster brake with brand new cream 35x700 tyres, vintage Wrights W3ST leather saddle, 110mm custom SR stem with Italian alloy handlebars (model Competizione).
As I have to find funds and space to finish some other bicycle projects, it has to go.
I am looking for offers in the £100-120 region.
Location is Milton Cambridge, collection preferred.
