I have come across a 1961 Claud butler Coureur. It is missing it’s seatpost , I have measured the seat tube and it came out at 26.4. So I bought a post and as soon as it gets about 5 mm in it definitely will not go in further, I haven’t forced it. I tried a 25.4 and it was as slack as the other was tight. Does any one know the size of the post? It’s not reynolds as the catalogue from that year doesn’t mention it and it sounds like thick plain gauge. Also does anyone also have a swallow or swift Saddle they want to sell? I’ll post a picture of the frame as soon as I can figure it out.
