I think you'll all agree its a pretty good spec. and looking for around £400 for the frame, headset & seat clamp.... or £750 DELIVERED (UK) for the complete bike - I dread to think how much this bike cost originally but its was well over £2500 - so grab a practically unused retro bargain - that has spent 15 years or more hanging on the workshop wall (as its always been as good to look at as ride) - photos of this lovely bike to follow - the pride of my collection. (delivery options negotiable - and I will deliver in person around the south east to ensure it arrives safely), alternatively collection welcome.

Nice bike, I used to have one.

Not quite the same as an unpolished Xizang though as the Xizang was double butted and Lightning was plain gauge. There may have been other differences too.

Fair price though for a great frame - good luck :D

Ideally I'd like to sell the complete bike so will consider offers for the whole bike first, but will not close the listing until everone's seen the photos - so WATCH THIS SPACE OVER THE W/E WHEN THE PHOTOS APPEAR ONLINE

To the best of my knowledge the Lightning was built in China, whereas the Xizang was built in the US.

I don't know about that - because "Made in USA" sticker on my '99 Lightning - and its got all its original stickers on from new including the Caratti sport one (the UK importers I bought it direct from)
