Interesting blurb...sound like total crap sales patter on his FB listing page as he went to the trouble of 1/2 way across Europe to purchase; why wouldn't you want to strip/flip the components including the frames to recoup your outlays?
As @LondonClassic suggests, total haul optimistic strong money indeed....
I'm afraid unless it has disc brakes & or electric powered, no-one wants retro steel bikes....dinosaurs like me will be giving our modest collections away to charity...which in itself brings its own rewards....here endeth the lesson....

Agree. I tend to think if the seller really though these had the value asked, they would have gone into far more detail and tried to sell individually. Instead they've taken the strange path of job-lotting them but seems they will sell individually. I was once thinking of bringing in van loads of these exact type of bikes from Lombardia early 00s, they were everywhere and often 75-100 euro each.

These all seem to be tubs in a 'how wide a tyre can you get in there' world and though some of these are nice they're not perhaps ultradesirable marques that demand top money. I think you might struggle to get £150 each right now.

I had a (one time just) holiday in Italy about 15 years ago & we got friendly with a local family as you do...the teenage kids were running about on steel Colnagos & Ciocc bikes for fun...When I stated these would be very desirable back in UK as quality racers, Columbus tubing/Campagnolo parts etc, they scoffed as they could buy them through the equivalent of their Gumtree forum for less than 50 euros a bike....sometimes picking them up from someone for free for the throwing away!!
I'm aware of the laws of supply/demand but even I was taken aback at this....& as I strolled about town was amazed at the number of folks running about on quality Italian steel just as everyday transport!
Oftentimes in the UK I've thought, we are constantly overtaxed & are penalised for importing even 2nd hand items from the EU (certainly since Brexit) ; COVID didn't help & maybe pay too much for all aspects of this most democratic of pastimes & sport....I'm now in my late 60's & really don't have the rose specs on but it was different back in the day....

I've posted this picture before:

There was also a single speed Mexico with flat bars often leaning against the window of a chemist's shop and on one evening I spotted a carbon aero Cinelli in a stack of bikes outside the staff entrance of a restaurant.
