"Colnago Owners Group" is closed to Colnago owners!

Is anybody part of that F-book group? I was checking it out for a 1st time Colnago owner, and I (nearly 40 yrs of owning, and riding Colnagos) was denied joining. Some sort of joke group! I recommend not wasting your time there since they deny you access and on message state "Visit group"...

    Henry Lloyd bike history

Does anyone know anything about this marque? Was Lloyd the actual framebuilder and/or the company owner? Any idea if it is related to the H. Lloyd company dealing with decals (they did not have any shown for Henry Lloyd bikes)? It has the early Reynolds Special Lightweight tube set (pre-531 pro).

Santini 5 flute "Gilco" style frame

Here is another 5 flute frame similar to the Gilco 4 flute style frame. I cannot verify that it is Columbus tubing, but rear drop-outs are Columbus and fork is fully Columbus (steerer, blades, and drop-outs). Based on features I believe it is from late 80s before Colmbus decal style change...

Fusar Poli marque fluted Rossin built frame

I pulled this out as an example in another thread. It is an odd frame, and other than my knowledge of the marque's history I don't really have any specific knowledge about it. Cicli Fusar Poli was founded in 1975 by Marino and younger brother Luciano; both amateur racers before the business...

    Atlas (?) 1930s (?)

Is anyone familiar with a European (?) Atlas marque. I am only familiar with the Indian marque. I bought this bike that was stated as being an Atlas, but there is no identifying it other than by it having "Atlas" hubs and an "A" design headlight bracket. It has a Magistroni bottom bracket...

    Paglioli 1948(ish) Cambio Corsa bike

I recently got a Campy cambio corsa bike. I presume the brand is fairly rare since I have yet to come across another. I bought the bike from a very old gentleman (original owner) in Modena Italy which is also where the brand was based. The bike never left its hometown which I find kind of cool...

    Colnago Super (Piu style) 1990/91

Rebuilding a later (for me) Colnago Super. This model is of the "Piu" design with internal top tube cable routing, but before the same design was listed as "Piu" model unlike the Master which was given the "Piu" designation years earlier. I was never too concerned about keeping it original...

    1930ish Automoto

Automoto built frame bike from around 1930. I believe this was a contract build by Automoto for another company. I know they did that, but how many different brands used their frames is a mystery to me. It should have rivet holes for an Automoto head badge if originally badged as such since all...

LERI "Mirella" bike Tubing designation AQ 35

Is anyone familiar with the tubing designation AQ 35? It is on an entry level "Mirella" model LERI made bike with Campagnolo: steel "Sport" (3 spoke) cranks, Nuovo Record rear mech, Record front derailleur, Record shifters; Ballila brakeset; 3T Record stem. The tubing decal states: "Tubi...

    French Bottom Brackets

Is anybody knowledgeable as to when framebuilders/manufacturers stopped using French threading on BB shells? I am trying to date a frame and was curious if they had stopped (if they even did) using that design at some specific point in time or did it occur over many years?

COLNAGO CARBITUBO w/Custom Delta brakes LATE 80s EARLY 90s

"NOS" Carbitubo frameset from shop display bike. Stored for 25 years stripped of parts except matching C Record delta brakes. Obtained 3 years ago, now getting ready to assemble after gathering parts (carbon Record 10 group, Ritchey carbon bar and stem); still need desired wheels (have Ksyrium...

COPPI 60s(?) "DALLA LIBERA" badged Frameset

Old Fiorelli made Coppi frameset with DALLA LIBERA decals. Fork crown has Coppi inserts. Italian threaded steerer and BB shell (70mm). Dalla Libera bike shop sold bikes in the region (Latina, Italy) with their own branding. I cannot find a similar fork on any 70's Coppi or Fiorelli bikes, only...

FAUSTO COPPI '80s Columbus "ESA" FRAME SET

Similar to Colnago Regal and ESA Mexico frames. 6 flutes on main tubes. Repaint, but not a 'rattle can' job. BB has '53' stamped on it; I assume it's the size (I measured the ST as 53.5 cm c-c, 55 cm c-t, TT 55 cm c-c). Seat cluster lug has 'P-10' stamped on it (possibly a lug designation); no...

The "Masked Avenger" rides again. Coppi "GILCO" frameset

I have been away from the site for a bit due to hospital work. Things are improving on that front, but we are not out the woods yet. Been out riding with a friend so I was inclined to ride my Raleigh Sports while he rides modified Schwinn I built for him. Helps keep me in check riding a 50...

BAGGI "CHAMPION OLYMPIQUE ET DU MONDE" 1935/36

Old Baggi "CHAMPION OLYMPIQUE ET DU MONDE" ("OLYMPIC CHAMPION AND WORLD CHAMPION"); unknown if that is its model designation. French road bike purchased for the original owner (he is still alive!, turns 100 this year) by his parents in 1936; sold to his friend who ran a bike shop that is closing...

    Favorit Czech Bike

'73 (?) Favorit. Still a little final work to do but a running bike without issues. Mostly original equipment (Favorit components, Maillard wheels) except headset (replacing with a more appropriate chrome unit), and possibly bar (unknown, may be OE in-house part) and stem (SR). Solidly built...

    TOMMASINI ("Export"?) 80's

TOMMASINI frame believed to be made specifically for US distribution. The top tube decal: "la bicicletta italiano per il corridore americano" (the Italian bicycle for the American racer). Made early to mid 80's based on BB top mount cable guides and dual bottle cage mounting bosses. Haven't seen...

    CRESCENT PEPITA '72/'73

Fairly original build "Pepita". Replaced: chain with SRAM, factory steel post with Campy alloy "Record", brake cables and housings Jagwire. Added Christophe cages, Sunlite straps, and REG shift and brake lever covers. Very good performance even with the Campy "Valentino" derailleurs.
