I like the finish anyway, but the matching Exotic fork takes it to a whole new level. Fantastic! GLWS.

Help please - Steel GT serial numbers

Haha, I know that but I had to go back to that post to work out what I was trying to say (was I drunk when I wrote that? 😂 ) As I mentioned a few posts later, it appears to be a 1993 Timberline in Pearl Mist - I was just confusing matter by ruling our similar paint schemes when as the July...

    Aende

Lack-of-progress update: I did try to drift the spindle out of the rear hub to replace the bearings, but didn't get any significant movement. I'd like to be certain that it definitely just wants more force applied to avoid risking ruining the hub. Anyone on here who has replaced bearings in a...

Well, now I've ruined the dormancy of that thread you'll have to start doing something with it. I think the point I'm at with the Aende is need to finish servicing the rear hub, which you lent me some tools to do. I really should finish that and return the tools to you!

Thank you, that makes me feel better - and justified in not having started threads for bikes I have had longer than this one!

Hand-built Vintage Swallow Merlin Mountain Bike 1987 eBay

Urgh, this made me have another look. It's certainly tempting, but I like the original seatpost and stem which I would need to replace.

    Wanted FIR Cantilever Brakes

I've had searches set up for the La Nuova Dimensione range since I bought the first Scapin as a potential option, but it's rare anthing comes up. Most commonly bottom brackets. I think there's a headset on Ebay at the moment.

Big Up the Swallow Cycles thread

It's listed as 19", is that likely to be big enough for us grown up size people? I had figured I would end up with anther very long seatpost to get that to fit.

Any way to ID this GT?

Nothing to add - I've recorded it and if I get more of this format I'll be able to say whether there's anything else that can be discerned.

I'd love that, but fortunately too small to be too tempting to resist.

Bianchi Project Nth Columbus Cyber 1993 in "California Blue". My new very rare ride.

Same format, but different stamping for the serial. If it uses letters the same then I think the D would mean 1994.
