Then narrow..

..i went down a hill, not really knowing where i was or where i was going.. and like all hills in Sheffield, the more fun they are to ride down the more painfull they are to ride back up.. I popped out at Strawberry Lee Lane, asked a runner for directions.. then headed back up the hill through Blackamore

..and home

my mom was visitng us on the weekend. when she left for home I went for a ride. it was 2hrs and 42mins 33km. the daguhter was another ride by herself (on the cyclepath) at the same time, which lasted also 2:42. she manged 60kms...

Great pics, thanks for sharing, I miss living in Crookes sometimes - for the above opportunity to get out in the peak district, however I dont miss grinding up the gradients to get back to Slinn Street after a full day out!

Slight chill in the air to start before turning much milder half way. 13 degrees, solid grey cloud but breaking much earlier than forecast (it's blue skies and golden sunshine now). A whisper of a WNW breeze at 3-4mph. Pretty much ideal conditions. Very quiet out, almost off-season quiet

Not managed to get out for the last couple of weeks so did a short one today while I had the chance. Took it nice and easy as usual, found it easy going even with starting on climbs

Also stopping quite a few times for pictures was a welcome break.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That huge dent in the earth behind the gate is an old cock fighting pit (might not be what some of you are thinking), lots of old coins have been found there. Even poor folk dropped money
