There is however a Control Code letter missing from the middle of the Serial Number, which I cannot explain - i.e. the letter "K" in my second example.

Anyway, at 28 lbs, it certainly puts the bike out of the Caldera league, and nearer the Hahanna territory.

1997 Kona Kilauea Special Edition. This was a mid year release with the colour matched to the bomber colour. Inky a couple hundred were made for Canada and US. It's a different blue than the regular run for that year.

Thanks Pip, I have never actually seen one in person. Are they actually more yellow? All I have seen online look orangey to me. I guess its a fine line.
