So what do you do when you want a as new Deore XT rear derailleur and Deore thumbshifters, well you buy a full bike lol and in this case a time warp Offroad Proflex 552 which has barely turned a wheel since new.
Apart from the perished elastomers for the rear which squished soon as you sat on...
It's just giving glimpses of what it'll be like all built up but there's still so much more to do, like some gold writing Dia Compe outers for the brakes which are in the post 😁
Good spot with the cable guide bolt i'll have to cut that down to suit.
It's a thing of beauty in my eyes it looks amazing, i love seeing the differences between each one 😍
I don't know how i missed your build thread, what's the history of this Vulcan?
Was it always this colour or did you respray it?
And the gold titanium seatclamp bolt turned up.
I was going to go with a Sugino chainset but i'm liking the look of the black chainrings and gold bolts on this Deore chainset so may stick with that.
This is my old 88 Rockhopper Comp in catalogue spec for reference, the 89 model was a more lighter blue than the 88 and like gtturbo said the 89 had MT62 Deore ll groupset where the 88 had the MT60 Deore groupset.
