    Wanted Specialized Mountain Cage

Thanks, I’m not sure it’s that one. The ones in the link @winjohn posted have the SPECIALIZED logo on the side of the cage 😅 EDIT: yours looks like the road cage while the mountain cage is chunkier

    1988 Team Stumpjumper

I know, I’d like to rip the dork disc off but it’s in such good conditions I just can’t do it…😅

    1988 Team Stumpjumper

Thanks. Since you brought it up, I was wondering whether the crank bolts were original since the 88 catalogue shows the Browning crank. I should have some Deore caps somewhere, that might do as well…

    1988 Team Stumpjumper

I can’t believe I finally managed to test ride it. I replaced the rim tape, new tubes and tyres. It still needs some tune up and a lot of polishing but it looks amazing to me! 🥳

    Wanted Specialized Mountain Cage

Hi, I’m looking for one black mountain cage to match the 1988 Team Specialized Catalogue specs. Is anyone shipping to Italy for a reasonable price? Thanks

    1993 TREK 8300 COMPOSITE

Thanks, I’m still not sure what to do about this. I’m not a big carbon fiber fan and the stem and cranks appear to be stuck. Don’t know how difficult it would be and - I was going to have it stripped out by a pro but at the moment I’d rather focus on my 1988 team Stumpjumper and the complete...

    1993 TREK 8300 COMPOSITE

Hi, I never posted about it but I recently got a 1992 TREK 8700 Composite in pretty poor conditions. So poor I’m still not sure I want to do something with it. The only good news is the seatpost’s missing, which is way better than a stuck one…

Wheels: ready Smoke Classic X2: ready Rim protector: Ok, maybe I need some rim tape. 😂 Any suggestions?

    1988 Team Stumpjumper

…I’m working on the bike in the spare time to get ready for the aforementioned event. I cleaned it, degreased everything, lubricated what was meant to be (farewell greasy grips). I still have some fine tuning and polishing to do but I agree with most of you who suggested to keep the patina...

    Bianchi NTH (1990?)

Thanks, I wish my NTH project was that far ahead. I’m focusing on my ‘88 Team Stumpjumper, then i will carefully tear it down and let a pro do some magic with the frame. Since you’re mentioning Dario Acquaroli, next week we’ll be celebrating him with the Vintage Ride MTB 👍🏼

    Bianchi NTH (1990?)

I can’t believe how hard it is to find some information about Bianchi NTH bicycles. Has someone ever seen period catalogues?🤷‍♂️

    Bianchi NTH (1990?)

Just when I decided on selling some bikes that I wasn't particularly attached to in order to free up some space, this pops up: It’s a bit rusty but the drivetrain is in very good conditions for its age. I’m still not sure it’s just surface rust but I love NTHs so much I’m thinking of...

    1988 Team Stumpjumper

Living in Italy makes the RB buy/sell section a marvellous hassle because of taxes and incredibile import fees…🥲

    1988 Team Stumpjumper

Lovely one! I’m leaving the complete answer to the real experts but the Team Stumpjumper was the only Specialized MTB in the 1988 lineup with lugged tange prestige frame.
