There were no complete 91 Zaskar's...It was only sold as a frame kit in 91 with 2x4 fork and stem. You could order an XT or XC Pro build kit but you still needed wheel, tires and saddle to complete a bike....so there is no "catalogue spec"
Correction...The 95 GT Road Bike Catalog says the Edge was made out of Excell Superlite Double Butted tubing...it was at the start of the 95 year until the Excell pipeline stopped.
Few went around the globe. Seriously is chasing numbers worth it. I can remember seeing containers of them unloaded. There are plenty out there. I own three. At any time I search I can usually find 3-5 for sale. Many listings are up for 3-6 months before they finally move along to a new owner.
Rare as hens teeth...Vantage Pros are. They got very little OEM spec back then so weren't many around aftermarket. Experts yes...pro's no. I have a pair of black 32 hole Pro's on a 92 GT Psyclone.
Fact...it's not even a 93! The front triangle may be have been made late in 93 and stamped with a late 93 serial number. Which would mean it's a 94. Fact... There was no Team RTS in 93. There was an RTS-1 with chromoly rear end...not aluminum. The bike in the photo is also wearing 95...
I'm even a GT guy. Have submitted bikes in the past. You know...this thread....it's suppose to be about the bike. This thread has become nothing more than a photographers ego trip. Let's face it...a Walmart Huffy would look just as good in the same photo with that backdrop. Time to rename...
Total internet rumor. GT built the Edge CX frames. I have a past national championship period correct build Alison Dunlap Edge CX.
the A.Dunlap serial number stamping matches what was coming on the frames out of the GT Tech Shop.
95 GT Road Catalog says the Edge steel frames were made out of Excell but I know the Excell tubing didn't last the year.
By the way the 94-95 Shaklee Jersey has both GT Bicycles and Reynolds sponsor logos.
Mike feel free to p.m. me I worked for them...I've got like 8 steel Edges plus a couple...
