I worked for GT 92-7 back in the days when they 1st started road bikes. I own 89 GT's 16 of them road bikes with many of them past team road bikes. I can honestly tell you I own more bikes produced in the GT Tech Shop than anyone else on the planet. I have a GT Saturn Team Titanium road bike...

Tiemeyer Cycles did not build GT's. ...Tiemeyer Cycles was before the GT Tech Shop...prior to 93. David Tiemeyer was an employee at the GT Tech Shop in Longmont, CO. He was one of many welders at the GT Tech Shop at that time. I'm also not sure how you are guessing on the tubing brand...

I believe the Avalanche and or Avalanche LE may have also been 6061 in 1998. Check the catalog.

Have one even rarer from the 98 year. Mark McCormack's GT Saturn Ti which has tubing sponsor Reynolds 853 decals on it. Same frame he rode to a 2nd place finish to George Hincapie at the US Pro championships that year.
