Original Flites had quite a small gap (in height) between the seat and the rails, but this looks like it has a larger gap more akin to the re-issue Flites on the market.
Perhaps lower end '90's models had a larger gap?
Where did you buy it from?
Can't say I've seen a Flite with that cover texture before, and obviously not with non-ti rails.
The underside / plastic body appears to be correct.

Black LX crank would suggest it's a '93 model - in 'Plum Burgundy'
Front end of a '93 would have been threaded headset and rigid fork, but that could easily have been changed.
There's a chance it could be the '94 model in the optional 'Blood Red', which had a threadless...
I think the challenge and time required to get rid of everything would actually be bigger than you may realise, unless you literally auction each item / bike with a 99p start and get what you get.
