I found this whilst clearing the loft, anybody want it for cost of postage?
I don’t have a VHS player so it’s untested, but frankly it looks as good as new.

Dug these out of a box that has been in the loft since 1994/5.
I think they are bearing drifts for 6903 bearings judging by the bag they were in, and they have a 9mm hole in them.
Two different sizes.

A couple of points to note here, catalogues tend to come out quite well in advance of the actual product hitting the market, and they are typically issued with a caveat that specifications are subject to change without notice.

Technically speaking the XT thumbshifter only ran up to the '89 groupset, it was STI units after that. But you could still buy them for a few more years before they were properly phased out.

Agreed looks to be a top pull set-up, but there might be a roller down towards the bottom of the seat tube to allow a bottom pull mech to be used.

Been doing a loft clearance at my parents and came across on old calendar which me and my mate scribbled race results on.
Saturday February 8th 1992 is marked with 'Got Marin!', so that stacks up nicely with my memory of getting the bike early in '92 :cool:
