I am thinking of getting a new frame built, or maybe buying a used one. Would like it to be as modern as possible, but still as backward compatible as possible, if that makes sense.... So, rim brakes, threaded BB, DT gear lever bosses (not just cable stops), round seatpost, not too worried about...

There are modern standards that I need some help with, hoping someone can maybe clear things up! Forks - What's the standard steerer size nowadays? Is 1 1/8" still widely used and available? What about tapered steerers? Mech hangers - i don't really like SRAM, but must admit that the UDH...

If it's just that the slot in the arms is. A little too thin, then some careful filing should let you fit standard pads. Need pics to be sure...

I recently got hold of a perfect condition dura ace CS-7401-8 8 speed cassette, but it's missing one silver spacer ring. the 3.0mm ones. Does anyone have a spare one they don't need? thanks!

If you have a Garmin, then I find their connect platform works well. Easier to use on a pc than on a phone though
