    Modern steel frame options?

Yes the ritchey looks great, the main negative at least for me is the lack of colour options

    Modern steel frame options?

That coppi is nice! but I am after something "modern" geometry, larger diameter tubing, oversized headset, slightly sloping TT, etc. But still sticking with rim brakes, preferably, unless I find something that I just can't say no to that only comes in disc... So far the Cinelli seems to be the...

    Modern steel frame options?

still looking for options... the Merckx Corsa Mendrisio looks pretty good, even if nowadays it's not made in the Merckx factory. Disc only though... I think I am pretty set on: rim brakes external (or at least semi-external) cabling threaded BB "oversize" steel or ti carbon fork preferably...

Why are more modern barend shifters "bent"?

Good points. I think the "barrel" part is the same diameter so lever angle per shift will be the same, but I will measure. Just got to wondering about this on the way home this afternoon, no other reason!

Why are more modern barend shifters "bent"?

Useless thought for the day... I think the very early barend shifters were just standard straight DT levers with a different mount. When did Shimano and/or anyone else start making them with the more recent "bent" shape, and why? Is it just to help stop losing grip on them? Something else? I...

If you want to use with a nutted caliper, just use a decent washer between fork and nut

Throbbing hum from rear wheel - ksyrium

more than likely the delrin bushing. stupid design that one.... no idea if it can be swapped between the campag and shimano freehub bodies - if you can take them apart then I suggest measuring to see if they're the same?

Long drop brakes - fitting issues

ok, it's a lot easier to adjust everything once cabled up!

Long drop brakes - fitting issues

The grub screws are the spring tension adjusters, easiest is to back them both off, loosen the bolt that clamps Tje caliper to the frame, centre, and retighten. See how they work, and adjust tension on each side as required , just enough so that they are equal, with the minimum setting so that...

if you're open to splitting (or whoever buys the lot doesn't need it), I'd be interested in the 10 speed centaur carbon rear mech

    Sold KHS Montana Comp

That looks in great condition and still very original! Not sure it's a 21" frame though? The HT is shorter than on my 19"... The "21" on the ST I think refers to the number of gears, not the size. I'd measure and make sure!

New frame Veneto Altec 2, another project after the Daccordi incident

I don't think it was a purchase as such, early 00's the bikes were branded as Zeus in Spain, Orbea in France and Veneto in Italy. But other than the branding, exactly the same. My Zeus in this colour scheme must have been 2001 I think... Shortly after they changed the branding, using Orbea for...
