How to "un-strangle" a seat tube?

Unfortunately no, the upper water bottle cage mount will block the seatpost insertion above the dent.

    Ritchey P-series bikes under license?

Hi, I was wondering if Ritchey was licensing the design of his P-series bikes? I know they were TIG-welded in Japan (except for the Team bikes) and finished in the U.S., most notably the seat cluster. Was the Japanese contractor a big company, able and authorized to manufacture enough bikes to...

How to "un-strangle" a seat tube?

About the brass instrument repair kit, I found it a super clever approach! I didn't knew such a thing was for real, thanks for the info. Now, the frame being steel, handling the magnet holding the ball inside the tube could be a fun thing to try out :)

MAVIC 825 thumbshifters: am I missing some parts?

    Yeti ARC 1991 build list?

The Yeti A.R.C. frames were prone to crack at the seat tube or head tube. The early ones even more. So I would safely avoid any shim or reducer for the headset and/or seatpost.

    French crankset identification

Hi, Coming from the offroad side of RetroBike, I know nothing about road bikes/components. This crankset was fitted to a vintage MTB that I'm planning to restore. But I'm unable to identify the crankset brand/model. Can you help? The logo resembles the number 2 inside a gear: Besides the...
