    Pets

If they do run at you let the dog off the lead. They're the antagonist causing the attention, not you - and they'll be able to run away to safety. You're both at much more risk of being trampled if you stay together.

ebay found a new way to screw with buyers

But they often don't loose interest, that's the point. They've got time to reflect/get further seduced/be irresponsible/whatever, and keep creeping up the bidding to compete. Often it seems people don't place a max bid for some reason, but go low, hoping to win it for that. It seems irrational...

ebay found a new way to screw with buyers

Yeah but lots of people don't seem to know what they want to pay and fanny about inching up their bids rather than hitting a max amount. I like to determine what the most is I'd want to pay, (add a bit more if I'd be gutted to loose it for that!) - then hopefully blow everyone out the water with...

ebay found a new way to screw with buyers

Well I do that, but lots of folk don't and if they've time to see they're not winning they can keep increasing their bids

Wow, that's buggered it all up then. Seems ridiculous. ...Will you be able to just add on an extra 2 mins before getting your late bid in, as before?

No doubt I'm being thick but I don't understand this. Are bids being accepted after the specified end time? (I always get my bid in with 2 seconds to go (well maybe 2 1/2) and always seem to be the last bidder. Twice the 'puter's stuck and it hasn't made it in time though).

Campagnolo retro Saracen picked up for £5

Can't say I'm afraid. From memory it looks very similar to mine which was bought in Jan '82 and was the previous years 'model'.

Campagnolo retro Saracen picked up for £5

One of these was my first decent bike back in 1982. It was heavily discounted as I believe Saracen were really struggling at that time. They made a comeback a couple of years later (after being bought out by Bluemels?). Mine was originally spec'd with a Shimano 600 chainset and Tourney mech's...

Campagnolo C-Record Ist gen date query

Ok, I'd have thought the sprung b-pivot (hanger bolt) would make this an early one from '85. That 21 stamp is very confusing though

Campagnolo C-Record Ist gen date query

There were a couple of iterations of the 1st gen' C-Record mech. The earliest version actually had a sprung 'b-pivot'. All later versions inc. 2nd gen' were unsprung, if this helps at all..

Campagnolo C-Record Ist gen date query

Beautiful mech! I can't remember too well to be honest, but IIRC '85 is 11 as you say, '86 should be 22, '87 = 33 etc. Not sure how 21 fits in there. I'll try and find my old files but they might be stuck on an old PC
