I think they did. But weren’t some of their Ti frames robot welded (plasma arc?) I remember Raleigh being proud of it.

The seller says it’s had a weld repair but doesn’t mention the hole. That shouldn’t be there surely...

Good thread. I've nothing to contribute other than to mention a stem I stripped and treated with ACF-50 a while ago. It resisted rust and developed a satisfying tarnish/patina like an old spade. Slightly oily for a while and would probably need reapplying every few months though.

Kim Kardashian borrowed your bike? Not something you expect to happen is it when they normally last for decades. Seems like there was a flaw in the steel for it to fail like that? Definitely worth getting repaired, but I’d be emphasising that something must’ve been wrong.

It comes with 42 / 30 outer and middle. Could you just remove the inner for the time being, until the middle wears out?
