Completely understand it was built for the 1998 release 👍🏻.
Isn’t it obscured though that we have to not refer to them with the date that’s actually printed on them.
It’s so easy to say it’s a 1996 frame……… and we know it
Nice. Hope you sort your cables out though 😆 they would drive me mental 🥴😊.
1997 GT Zaskar Le. In the proses of cleaning and adding some new parts. That’s not the stem and seatpost that’s staying on. Was trying the stem to get the right degrees I need. -6 for me. Ive got a thing that the stem has to be the same angle as the top tube 🤦🏻♂️. I’m right though 🤭.
Fixed. Took the 26.8 seat post out. Removed the seatclamp bolt. Got a flat screwdriver and simply slipped it in the gap, and put a slight bit of a twist pressure (could barely see any movement. Grabbed the 27.2 seatpost………… went in absolutely perfectly 🥳.
I was thinking this. My dad had it from new. So maybe he’s put a 26.8 seat post in and closed the seat stem gap up tightening it.
Is there maybe a safe way to ease it back open ?.
Got my dad’s old gt Zaskar Le. The seat-post is too short for me. He had cut it down so no size on the post. I tried a 27.2 and it’s to tight. So I measured his post with a caliper, and it comes up as 26.8 🤷🏻♂️. No where online do they mention a Zaskar ever being that size.

G10 by Farecla. Can use water with it. If using a mop with compound on paint go fairly slow. Have to be honest I have no idea with anodising. I would imagine anodising is a very very thin layer. Not like lacquer on cars which is quite thick (thicker than the paint).
