    Contacting H LLoyd

These guys in Madrid have a really excellent range of European decals (many of which Lloyd does not stock). Good to deal with, and responses on eBay and Instagram are very quick. Plus they will also do customs, and 'specials ' to order for only a little extra of your dollahs 😁 I got them to make...

    Colnago Mapei decals

I remember seeing a stock of these on a well known German forum, but no more 😬 I've got a usable Titanio that's seen better days and I quite fancy taking it back to the metal and repainting in Mapei livery. Hunted high and low for decals, but no joy... Any ideas?

Never had any joy on efficiency there, so I shop elsewhere. Can be weeks for a reply, if any.

20min YouTube Cycling Documentary: "The Lost Merckx" with Gerry Shields

Steel Vintage Bikes are probably en route with a chequebook to Manchester 😜

New member here from the USA with a couple bikes from the UK

The green one looks like a mid 80s build with concealed brake cables and the shot in stays. I'd say the chrome bike is probably early 70s. As the shop is still going in Dundee, they might have a frame register.

Jack 'Big Nic' was a prominent racing man with the Dundee Thistle club. My old man raced alongside when he worked out of the RAF up the east coast. Here's a few photos of Jack and later with his team at the shop. It would be interesting to find out how the bikes came to the US. I've a cousin in...

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

This is the last group I bought from Campagnolo, still rolling like jewellery 20 years on.

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

0.5% is probably ambitious ! 😂😁😜 I haven't bought any new Campagnolo since 2003. And I was a dyed in the wool, 'if it says Campagnolo on the box I'll take it' buyer. Their Ultratorque bottom bracket bollox was the last straw for me. I don't doubt there are hordes of ex Campagnolo addicts out...

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

I remember paying £46 for a Super Record pat 83 rear derailleur in the box as a lad and thinking 'that's a lot of money for a derailleur...!'

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

It's the pricing I think which will eventually do for Campagnolo. SRAM is a great value group and as a full wireless set up, it's easy to install and it just 'works '. I've got it on two bikes I use the most and it's total revelation. I wouldn't build a new bike without it. Super Record pricing...

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

IMO not collaborating on a standard for cassette bodies (or adopting it later on) was a huge mistake for Campagnolo. Sure it's possible to make Campagnolo 9 speed work with a Shimano cassette and rear derailleur but it's a technical faff/force. SRAM have really capitalized on being able to use...

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

Yes, big props to Shimano for putting the 7400 group together, that must have made Tullio go reaching for the cheque book to catch up, but by then the writing was already on the wall. Some say they Japanese are merely imitators or copyists, but the 7400 group was imo completely revolutionary in...

    What could this frameswt be?

I've had a Topbike frame not dissimilar to this one, unfortunately there aren't really any distinguishing or obvious details on this frame meaning it could be one from hundreds of small issue frame builders. It's clearly a very well finished and specced frame and it appears to have a race number...

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

I'm surprised that Campagnolo haven't adopted the Shimano cassette spacing, it would have opened so much more if the market, especially in wheels, where they have done more than okay but could've done better though. Proprietary systems are a royal PITA, I've known a few Italians in my time...
