Early Specialized Stumpjumper MTBs in Britain

No, my boss at the time decided we needed an early Stumpjumper for display in the shop, I saw this F+F on here and it went from there. He, armed with a spec list from Mombat, went on a mission for the parts. I don't want to know how much he spent but he was known for being impulsive and he was...

Early Specialized Stumpjumper MTBs in Britain

@Guinessisgoodforyou, unfortunately I don't know, all I can say is that my frame and fork came from the Netherlands about 10 years ago, which doesn't help with Grahams question at all unfortunately. Sorry :(

    Bontrager Race OR

Added a Bontrager stem. 👍 😁 Will get some decals done and some sort of bung sorted over the next couple of weeks.

Yeti build thread. Not in the wrong section.

This is definitely my Bike Of The Year so far. So cool, your work is outstanding! I'll let you off for the grips :) Can't wait to see the wheels and of course, the end result. Well done!

Wanted Hope Bulb 135x12mm rear end cap dimensions for machining

I think this is what you're looking for, measurements tally up with what @Cloverleaf says. It's been sat in my toolbox for 20 years, since I owned a 222 with a floating brake mount that replaced this spacer. You're welcome to it for postage if any good. 👍 😁

Kona Hei Hei 1994 build thread

I'd go with the grey, dark rims with tan wall tyres always looks good, especially against naked titanium. Just my opinion. Added bonus of not having to faff around swapping nipples, which while not particularly difficult is time consuming. :)

cheap 26" Tyres at banana industries

I couldn't resist either, came today. Seem to be nice tyres, iconic tread pattern, cheap, super quick delivery, what's not to like?

    1996 Gary Fisher Procaliber

Weighed it this morning, 23 lbs 5 oz or 10.58kg, not bad at all really. 👍 😁

    Peugeot Energy 500

It was used by Peugeot/MBK, googling Peugeot Inexternal brazing should find you some info. It was top of the standard, non 'Ala Carte' range that year, so not a bad bike.

Recommend a suspension fork for 1999 Kona Explosif.

I'd be tempted to look out for a Marzocchi Z2 Atom Bomb. It's what the bike was originally specced with so won't mess with the geometry. Seals are available, any old 7.5wt shock oil will do and an oil/seal change, while it might seem daunting at first, is an easy job requiring basic tools that...

    Bontrager Race Lite

I have a few Bontys, I think the Maguras were just a subconscious effort to do things differently on each of them! I do like them a lot once the set up faff is out of the way. These are the best of the V's though in my opinion. :)
