Wanted XTR M980 RH shifter clamp

I removed mine years ago to fit it to a combined Hope Race lever clamp/mount and it seems to have disappeared into the void. If anyone did the same and has one lurking I'd be interested in buying it please. I'd rather not buy a whole shifter as this one's minty. Thanks, Ben. :)

    2008 Giant Halfway (folding bike)

Getting a tyre to seat properly?

Yeah go high and if the bead does start to come off, throw it, it bloody hurts if it goes in your hand. Sometimes the rim tape has shifted, sometimes the bead sticks on the tape and won't slide into place. Unfortunately sometimes the tyre's on the smaller end of acceptable tolerances and the rim...

    Non-BSO

Max Lite must be the name of the designer. That thing is one step away from becoming a singularity and gaining its own gravitational pull.

It’s getting HOT in here ….

Probably the best bet. If I were to own that and go rigid, despite how nice that fork is, it would have to be a P2 I'm afraid. :)

Yeah, I can't imagine there's much of a market for a stars and bars fork. But at the same time it'd be a shame for someone to repaint it, it looks well matched.

    97 Ku build & now a 98 Ku

I do like a contrasting frame and fork. They both look bang on to me. :)

Cool. Nice fork but I agree with the Z2. Bike looks sweet. :) you don't mess about do you!

Is that rigid fork a Potts/Cunningham type two or does it just look a bit like one?

    Frames with a 1 14 headtube

If you swap the stem to 1 1/8" then surely everything is 1 1/8"? Then it just goes together normally.

    Frames with a 1 14 headtube

Not sure if I'm getting the wrong end of the stick somehow but an 1 1/4" quill stem is never going in an 1 1/8" fork. You can adapt the other way or with threadless. But however hard you try an 1 1/4" quill is not going in an 1 1/8" steerer. They're the same diameter.
