The Ultimate Ranking Bible of Accessories Brands

Definitely, does headsetty things perfectly. Is lighter and you get 6 or more for the price of a King. I do own a logo less King but most of my bikes have Tange ones. 👍 😁

Pffft..... Everyone knows you can't be part of the Chris King club if your headset is adorned with such a vile thing as logos. Pre 96 only thanks, keeps the riff raff out.

One mans gold is another mans gash. It's so subjective. :)

Wheel building advice for a first timer

Round spokes in straight pull hubs are fine once you get a little bit of tension into them but yes you do have to hold them upto that point. Which can be a pain in the arse and even with the bit of tube it's quite easy to mark the spokes if black. They can also be a pain later on if there's any...

    Pace RC31 forks...worth it?

I've had several of these forks over the years. Recently put a pair on my Charge. They are more comfortable, stiffer steering and a whole pound lighter than the steel Identiti they replaced. Cost around £150 second hand, which is only £50 cheaper than the last new pair I bought directly from...

Imlach's Sweaty Hippie Funk Collection, adventure bikes, rusty rats, cruisers and other alt bastardisations of bicyclery

I opened this thread again. Will I never learn? The twitch is in overdrive. :) As Bob says 'Each to their own'. I too have never heard of Zunow, I'm intrigued. I mean it's hideous but what's wrong with the brand?

    11 speed chains

They just have Sram written on them now. Same factory, many of the same workers (that were there pre Sachs as well) Obviously updated over the years but that would have still happened had Sachs not sold up. 👍 😁 Connection: SRAM's Portuguese Chain Manufacturing Facility - Pinkbike...

The titanium weld and detail appreciation thread.

Here you go @Woz 😁 Built by TST with Sandvik tubing. This has been re-blasted at some point in its life which has unfortunately taken some definition out of the welds. 😕 This bike was slightly later in the development of Ti frames and as such is anything but a straight copy of the steel frames...

HOUSE OF LOOPTAIL on FB for retro repop tyres and maybe more

They're working on a Panaracer made, officially licensed Ritchey Z-max re-issue. Be nice to have a choice other than Smoke and Darts for reliable, usable, proper looking tyres. My only problem is that my wallet is going to take a beating when they arrive! 😂

Aero Garbage Wind Resistant a lie

Gerard left Cervelo in 2011. Being fair, they are a company that sells product for profit. The taglines not going to be: 'Looks a bit different but in reality is the same as everything else' is it? Even if that's closer to the truth. They're also far from the only ones who do it. Marketing guff...

Aero Garbage Wind Resistant a lie

Funnily enough, George is on an S5 this year as his road bike. He did an 18:52 on Friday beating the next rider on a full TT bike by 37 seconds. His persistent chasing of the details seems to work despite the naysayers. Sorry for the crappy photo! 😁 Much like everything else, if you don't like...

    Nice hub ideas

Thanks for the suggestions gives me some other options to look at/for. :) Hugi are lovely but are a bit earlier than I want and I already have a set of the DT version which is what they became by 95. Ditto White industries, lovely but I already have some. :)

    Nice hub ideas

Thanks Jan :) They look great and are certainly the kind of thing I'm after. I do suspect they're rare and cost a pretty penny but I'll add them to the Ebay search list. You never know. Thanks again. :)

    Nice hub ideas

I have a set of NOS Weinmann/Bontrager Red Dot rims laying about that I'd like to build up but am stuck on hub choice. I'd like something I don't already own in silver (possibly black), 32h, 8 speed Shimano compatible. Mid 90's. I have a couple of sets of M737, a couple of sets of Hope...
