GT Team Avalanche BB width for 1x commuter

My 1990 Team Avalanche has a 68mm shell and pics to prove it... foreshortening and camera angle don't help show exact width, but it's 68mm NOT 73mm... Seems like GT are playing with our minds @PhillB !!! Regarding what BB width will entirely depend on your choice of chainset.

    92 team marin......well....almost....

At least your game of crazy number of spaces + stem roulette will give Gav the perfect brief for a perfect stem. In this instance the best things will come to those who will wait!

I saw the other day (via Instagram) that poor Gav has done himself an injury :( @August Bicycles will probably join the conversation with his one good hand!

90s GT - seat post sizing issues

27.0mm DIA - Original Tioga seatpost Check to see how far down it does before it gets tight. It may the where the brace on the seat stays is welded against the back of the seat tube and depending on the amount of penetration, the weld may have come through onto the inside wall of seat tube or...

90s GT - seat post sizing issues

I have a 1990 GT Team Avalanche with original Tioga seatpost. I can check the DIA sometime tomorrow as it’s currently hammering down with rain and lighting out the garage is pretty poor!

Please help wigh my old Peugeot

I did think that when I was writing it! 😜 Joking/puns aside, its fully integrated with partially hidden wires, not too dissimilar to modern machines today.

What's your favourite part or component to buy?

Sadly the plastic shroud/housing both Euclid and Centaur is prone to cracking with age. Even NOS that have been tucked away in a box from the suns harmful UV rays. Most are still pretty robust though despite these cracks. Vs. Shimano they are clunky in operation, but this is more due to non...

    GT Avalanche (1990?)

Exactly that Phill. Megabites are worth a decent amount if in good condition and there's plenty of value in all the other components. But ANOTHER bike in a garage that is tight for space... and I'm terrible at selling stuff too!!! 🤣 BUT if I bought it, my Team Avalanche would be back to...
