Sorted Wanted: 1990s Raleigh Randonneur Reynolds 708 58cm

Thank you for sharing these. That one's lovely. I did think long and hard about looking for the 531 versions, but I decided that I'd rather the 708 because I think I'm right in saying they have increased tyre clearance up to 35c with mudguards, which would make it sufficiently different from what I've already got. Plus I like the idea of 708 tubing...

Thankfully at that price, that one is one size too I

Thankfully at that price, that one is one size too big for me!
Dont rush, I spoke with a friend earlier who is planning clearing out his cycling stuff, and says he might give me his Spa Titanium Audax.(I did confirm he did mean give)

I am already in bother for having too many bikes, my argument its a matter of opinion will be wearing getting a bit thinner, I am in Preston and he is in Hull so your not far out of the loop.....

Is that a Nitto campee rack? A much nicer frame than a bog standard Raleigh.
It is. I'm uncertain whether to use it as part of the build at the moment.

So far I definitely want to use Nitto or Velo Orange mudguards, downtube shifters, possibly an old Deore chainset that I've had for a while, a Brooks B17 saddle. Wheelset tbc: I've just picked up a nice large flange front hub which would look nice, rear oln is 130mm, so probably a Shimano rear hub, both 36 spokes to account for my powerful physique expanding waistline. Likely all in silver. 32c tyres, possibly amber walled Panaracer Paselas. Decisions, decisions...

I used the VO mudguards on my Royal, not shake n bake but easy enough to fit. Sam at freshtripe is a great bloke to deal with. If you don't use the rack, give me a shout. Don't worry about waist line, don't stop pedaling.
