Innovations that weren't...

I'm waiting for a customer to tell me he's ordering a pair of these Forks:View attachment 1016017
Just so I can say
"You're having a f%kin Lauf, mate?"
I have a mate who's into those things. Horrible, undamped, flexy pieces of shit. With looks even a mother questions. He's broken two of them and still sings their praises. Brainwashed I tell thee! 😂

"Lauf argues that the short travel and stiff-ish spring means that there’s little need for adjustment"

Must be because:
a) all Gravel riders weigh the same
b) all terrain is equal

I am over six decades and a lot now

I have a rough translation

sick - as in 'what did you think of the competition/component/jump/weather/etc etc - sick = noteworthy and quite good
rad - as in 'that cutty was rad...' rad = noteworthy and quite good
rig - as in 'nice rig' - rig = noteworthy and quite good bicycle
shred - as in 'she shredded it' - shred = noteworthy and quite good riding
send - as in 'send it boy!' - send = to do something noteworthy and quite good
loose - as in 'you were super-loose' - loose = to do something noteworthy and quite good
grom - as in 'The Grom' - grom = noteworthy and quite good young rider
dialled - as in 'that rig is really sick' - dialled = noteworthy and quite good bicycle
bro - as in 'woah you are so rad, taking that sick line, it was really sketchy but you shredded it, and so loose through the woods, you must have that rig really dialled...' bro = noteworthy and quite good rider

It's exhausting

Even The Grom looks sideways at people using this patois.
