Early and short, traffic doesn't get bad around here until around 8am but with it being the first day back for schoolkids I got home a bit earlier. There's a pretty short but taxing climb right before I get home which I'd normally go full pelt at but that road ends up essentially being a single lane during drop off time because yknow range rovers, xc90s and other SUV's are needed for the school run...
Lovely crisp morning but it's definitely starting to get chillier, first day I've thought "yeah it's time to buy some bib tights" Ride safe
As a somewhat intermittent Retrobike browser I've only just discovered this thread and I love it. Looking for somewhere interesting to take a picture for this thread really adds to the enjoyment of a ride, but as winter approaches I'll be using my retro bicycles less often, though still riding at least several times a week. So are pics featuring non-retro bicycles acceptable, or a breach of etiquette? I'd appreciate guidance from the collective wisdom of the forum.
Meanwhile, here's a couple from the weekend from a trip to Gravesend, the town I grew up in. My stepdaughter has moved nearby not knowing of my connection and I usually manage a bicycle ride when we visit. (It's an oldish Brompton, but definitely non-retro.)
Pocahontas died on board ship near Gravesend and is buried in this churchyard.
