Another Saga.
1 inch quill stem stuck .
It's moving not frozen. Just a tight fit .

Copper slip applied before build . Never been out the garage.
Plus gas and wf40 seized agent tried as well.

Wedged is out of stem .
The bustard will not come out of the steerer tube .
Wtf.
All pointers welcome.
Wheels on bike . Can't get stem in a vice , no room

Is the stem rotating stiffly without pulling up at all?
(I don't like Copper slip as you're introducing another metal - and it's toxic, but many love it)

Stem moves freely. It just won't pull up .
Have left to soak for 24 hours with penetrative fluid .
Wedges is out . Just a very tight fit :(
I may have access my mates vice .

Stand bike upright with you astride the front wheel. Place a bar between the spokes where the rim touches the floor. Stand on said bar and grip the wheel with your knees. Now twist left and right while pulling upwards. It should come eventually

Leaving the bar in the stem makes pulling easier.
Damage in the steerer, and sometimes grit or corrosion, digs circular grooves in the stem, making rotation easy but extraction a challenge. but if it turns, it'll come out.🤞
Just a case of getting purchase

Interesting to note when the TdF riders piled up time after time, they just twisted their bars straight with their hands and knees, then rode away.
