2015 Austro-Daimler TT Carbon Limited.

Those pedals were the first clip less pedals. I think the first bar whatever got patented in the late 1800's!!

The Cinelli M-71

Cleat slid into position and you pulled a black lever out and that locked them in place. Release was performed by pushing it in by hand or crashing!!
Correct & they were excellent once set up as you knew once you were in you are more focused on giving it some beans

In the never ending wait for parts I have got stuff done. The 9100 series brakes are wonderful things but Shimano added what I assume to be a safety device, a small section of 6mm thread internal to the brake pivots that limit the selection to the supplied bolts which won't work with the necessary longer 6mm bolts and spacers... Four brake arms modified by removing that section of thread and a new set of DIN 6912 low profile socket head cap screws arriving tomorrow, this fixes a grip length problem I had with the other bolt set.
As a bonus Shimano loosened up the clearance in the brake shoe holder and now the brake pads can be changed with almost no effort, SwissStop carbon pads installed.

Aero stuff... I found a pair of Zipp VUKA carbon 110mm extensions that improve the ergonomics in the grip area and are quite sleek. These replace the aluminum version of the Vuka bars for a aero gain of .000005 watts, but the cosmetic's improved a bunch.

More aero stuff... The Super Record crankset has a rather large hollow spindle. If left open as the crank is rotated at speed, air will pulse from pressure differential as your shin passes in front of the spindle from side to side as the crank rotates increasing drag. I believe this to be true, but I'm an idiot so don't believe me.
So I capped both sides of the spindle because it seemed like a good idea...

So that's all for today, I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Next aero step is an aero big ring and/or chainset covers. You don't have to have a full aero chainring for covers to attach to but you will need a chainring with more real estate than those in your pic above

Pretty simple, cheap, and cut your own hole for crank arm

Made to measure, expensive, carbon.

I think this is a generic EZ Gains and not as expensive

Hi Frankenorange,
Thanks for all of this, at the moment I'm concentrating on low hanging fruit, later if I go for a single ring crankset this will be a serious consideration.
My hopes are I can start to assemble on Tuesday or so I can play with fitting the cockpit in a attempt to get a reasonable fit, we will all se how that goes.
