Just awaiting some bits in and i can hopefully get near finishing this.
In the meantime, here's a few updates.
Looking at the Yeti history, i think this is 1987 or 1988. Hard to tell, mine is #599, i've seen #499 listed as 88, but i think that might be wrong. So either way mine is 87 or 88. It's one of the very small 2nd batch (#579 - #604 give or take) with the round top tubes. Much more info from the always reliable Second Spin Cycles here:

Mine has the Simplex dropouts and no extra gusset on the chain stay joint at the bb. It also has the two bolts for the portage strap.
More pictures soon as bits arrive, i've got some very very tidy Ground Control Yellow Label tyres coming, some black Salsa bars and just looking for some correct pedals.
Then i think its finished. I'm sticking with the silver build, it looks so nice against the colours of the frame, with a select bit of black in the cockpit. Hard to get away from silver as the seat collar clamp is silver and I'm a believer in collar and cuffs matching, so the headset is silver.

Yellow Ground Controls will sit very nicely with this build. It's gonna' be another stunner from you!
