Curious workshop ….

AI isn't all a waste, there are good things being done in the medical world, cancer spotting and the like. Some new process systems are being AI monitored with human intervention which is preventing big bangs.
granted the shit we at the lower end of the food chain being exposed to is meh, but it's more than just a picture maker.

Many of our wholesalers' search facilities now can find you the part from a few keywords, not even necessarily the right ones.

A few years ago, you needed the part code, and even last year you had to get spacing, cases and symbols right:
For example:
Rapidfire
rapidfire
Rapid-fire
Rapid fire
Only one would bring up the products.
Tbh we would often use sjs website to get the part codes, because their system was massively more considered.

My fave:
Bracket Covers.🤣
You're not going to guess that are you, even if you have the part in your hand

But that's ruined my years' of finely tuned ebay incorrect searches.

And decades of product code knowledge, now completely useless.

All those brake pad,
gear adjuster,
cable end ferrule,
chainring codes,
Obsolete😪

my life's work ,
down the AI drain😭
