Thanks to everyone who replied. I've learned a lot about brakes, and particularly about the brands Balilla and Claud Butler. As shown in the photos, I managed to get a pair of Balilla brakes for ten euros at the Retroronde. The spring fitted perfectly into my C.B. branden calliper. Not really surprising since the brakes are almost identical! I had naïvly thought that my brakes were manufactured by Claud Butler, whereas they just stamped "C.B.LONDON" on them!
