1997 GT Edge Aero

A day late but stuff done. Titanium rear derailleur pivot bolt installed and ordered 2ea. 7mm x 35mm seatpost adjustment bolts in titanium of course and that's about it for the golden hued magic metal.
I actually had enough coffee to adjust the brakes front and rear and shorten the drops up a bit more so almost ready to cable this thing up.

It's not really the point to shave weight off this bike, at the end of the day it will weigh what it weighs, in my tiny little mind I wanted a bike that is highly tweaked and looks the part.
I'm old and slow I think the point is to look really good at the coffee shops with something you don't see everyday. Getting old sucks.

I was minding my own business at work surfing the web looking at aero gains from clip-on aerobars...

This feeling came over me, I Discovered I was retro aerobar curious...

On a whim I dropped into Ebay and was admiring the exotic bends and shapes and was lamenting how crap the brackets were and the black paint was taking its toll boring me to death. I was beginning to wonder how they could sell the same stuff for 25+ years. I pushed on...

I saw a name, Cinelli... It was beautiful... I tried to resist... I couldn't control myself any longer... I gave into my primal desire and hit Buy It Now...

My problem is shiny objects that send me down rabbit holes that "might" be a good idea. But you will never know if you don't make the trip.

Thank the Good Lord!
Now the bar- end shifters can be removed from the "over 65s" position and placed out front where they belong on an aero piece!


ps the clip ons i was offering are sleeker& more aero than the Spinacci!
