‘96/‘97 Orange P7, nickel, XT, XTR

NotThatOld

Retro Newbie
Hi all,

Thought I’d share my Orange P7 with you all. I’ve just finished bringing it back to life, I’m just waiting for the elastomers to arrive so I can rebuild the fork and it’ll be good to go.

I’m an absolute bike nut and wanted something I could use day to day for short trips instead of jumping in the car. The plan was to get something old thinking that it would still be there if I locked it up outside the shops but now I’ve finished it, it looks a bit too good. Oh well, might need to look for another project as a shopper now.

Cheers, JD.

Lovely looking, how did you bring the frame back to life? Did you coat it with something to prevent the corrosion?

I was lucky with the frame, it was already it great condition. It has a few scars and a bit of surface rust but WD40, some Brasso and a bit of time and it was good 👍
