IT MUST BE A MAN-WITH-A-VAN TYPE SERVICE WHO WILL TAKE THE ITEM AS IT IS. - YOU WILL NEED TO RE-ATTACH THE PEDALS, HANDLEBARS, SADDLE AND FRONT WHEEL. INTERESTING TO SEE PERIOD MODIFICATIONS. - YOU MAY NEED TO RE-ADJUST THE BRAKES AND GEARS ON RE-ASSEMBLY.

I don't get it.. as a bike.. frame must weigh a tonne " extra gussetting" that's why he's asking for a man in a van.
But it has patina, it looks good. More of an art piece for me..
£40 for postage.. is that for extra weight ?

Really weird, i did something similar to my bomber back in the day.....without the gussetting! mine had 10 speed gears...brooks saddle...its long gone but I still have some of the parts from it & a project bike I plan to rebuild in the same way at some point for a nostalgia trip.

Also strange it only has a front brake....and from the rust on the bars theres no clean spot where another lever would have been......mine had gold MX Bmx brakes with yellow cables, very classy.

It's an interesting bike for sure, I had a friend who had a bomber, incredibly heavy, I had a Grifter and it was at leasy 60% heavier than even that ship anchor on wheels.

I like that it seems to be an authentic and very British Klunker type build, almost as though a brit got back from Marin County some time in the early 80s and tried to replicate what was going on over there. Give the man his dues, he had to make the best of what was available to him at the time and Britain wasn't awash with old Schwinn's.

Loved my Bomber....nothing else like it at the time and very easy to customise with BMX parts, not saying it was a mountain bike as such but built like a tank and more fun than the road bike based scramblers we made before....i had a ton of fun on mine is the 'ups and downs' ...... definitely not shite and not much choice in early 80s.......
this one maybe a total rustbucket but it's an interesting relic of a time when people had to use their imaginations not just go to a shop and buy something off the peg.
