Ok looking at the rarity of some of the parts I expected it to be in that ball park. For me,I voted for your Kona for a few reasons really. It is what I'd want to build if I had the funds, it brings back memories of the awesome machines and parts I yearned for in my youth. Plus your attention to detail is stunning.
Either way it's a deserved winner, I wasn't trying to take anything away from that 😉

That's really appreciated mate 😍

To be honest with today's ridiculous retro taxed prices in parts it is probably a £5K + build, but it certainly didn't cost me anything like that at all.

All of them are superb, a credit to their owners. Some of this comes down to personal preference in a way unfortunately. For me the Roberts, Marin, Kona, Cycles Berthoud, Raleigh Tomac, Mantis, Kona and Fuquay are all amazing builds and immaculate.

But due to personal preference the Kona edges it, bias perhaps from a 94 Explosif owner.

The Hei Hei was the one I always went back to after studying them all but with so many truly top bikes it wasn't easy and this makes the win even better for the Kona. I do love that Ritchey though.
