Congrats. Lovely bike although would have loved to have seen the Marin win

Exceptionally tough month and well done everyone. Great bikes.

If you discount bikes that have had more than,£5000 spent on them, then the Marin wins all day long! Put a spending cap on the entry requirements.....
...... But where would be the fun in that

LOL. I’d be gutted if I spent £5000 on a bike and I didn’t win.

Champions League Vs Championship.

Awesome bikes throughout though.

Me too, the hei hei clearly has had lotttttsssss of money thrown at it with NOS parts galore. And it looks fab!
Nick's titanium Marin is stunning and normally it would win easily.

Don’t get me wrong my Hei Hei wasn’t a cheap build, but with hundreds of hours of shrewd part hunting, rolling the dice on some low-ball offers & knowing the right people it was nothing like the figures bouncing around in the above posts.

I’d be gutted if I spent £5k on a retro bike full stop whether it wins or not 🤷‍♂️

Open months always have a wide spread of years (1983 - 1997 this month 😲 ), a wide range of makes/models, and a wide range of (perceived) expenditure, all of which leads to a great level of variety for the voters 👍
It'll have to be a very niche month for one of my bikes to win! 🤣

Congrats to 44Racing for the win - I make that 3 according to your signature 😲

Ok looking at the rarity of some of the parts I expected it to be in that ball park. For me,I voted for your Kona for a few reasons really. It is what I'd want to build if I had the funds, it brings back memories of the awesome machines and parts I yearned for in my youth. Plus your attention to detail is stunning.
Either way it's a deserved winner, I wasn't trying to take anything away from that 😉

Like you say such a wide spectrum of amazing bikes. I love seeing the crazy designs and evolution of 80's & 90's mountain bikes and components as it just makes for such a variety 👍

Cheers mate, it's really appreciated 👍👍 Yes pretty taken aback by 3 BoTM's as I was never expecting that. Definitely makes the hundreds of hours of parts searching and bike building all worth it...im also liking the BoTM Triple Crown profile badge
