It appears to be doing it when i click to view the image, clicking on the title works (takes me to site), clicking on image doesn't load image, it takes me to the site and displays above page.

While I am delighted that the site has been updated - thank you very much, I am really not a fan of the current appearance and layout. Can the appearance and more particularly the side bars be altered or removed please?

Sorry to hear that. Sidebar is much less prevalent than on the previous site.

I wonder if we could have a bit of dumbed down guide of the new layout? Something as simple as “this button (or buttons) do the equivalent of the old ____ button”
Lots of good stuff in the new layout but I must admit it takes me longer to find the stuff I want to find. & I do miss the little yellow unread flags.

Be nice indeed if someone fancied pulling that together. Plenty of info in the help.

I’ve wondered for some time if the “How much is my XYZ worth” sub forum could / should have a minimum post count rule applied?

I suppose there are pros and cons to it however, as if it’s a newbie asking the question (which it often is) and they can’t ask that question there, will they ask it somewhere else, causing clutter (though I suppose it could be deleted by admin?).

We get people popping in to asking the question only for them or whatever they wanted valued never to be seen again - probably to sell it privately off-site.

I think it's a fair compromise. Better for the community someone finds the site, gets a valuation and sells their bike and kit to someone on here,

Can you share the URL please? Tried to replicate, the threads should redirect ok, the images may not as you've found.

Which URL? the one from the loaded RB page? and yes, just seems to be the images.

Understood. The images have been moved from the old to new forum system. All images should be in place in the old threads and visible on the forum. If trying to access old images via google image search for example these links likely will not work.

Yes can access the images through the site/threads, and its not really an issue to be fair, just something i noticed after the change over.

Yeah, that looks like a search engine problem. The image locations were probably moved and all links on Retrobike were updated, but not all search engines have scanned the site and updated their links yet.
Looks like you're using DuckDuckGo, and I imagine their crawler (DuckDuckBot) doesn't scan every site as often as (for example) Google's crawler does.

I can't make head nor tale about the "New profile posts" function.

Is it because everyone is effectively new on the new platform? How should it actually work? Just seems
a collection of odd posts from anyone and no way to see what the thread title is.

It post to a persons profile, their own blog. the headinging is the person themselves.

It's called Status under your profile.

Can be used for direct none private messages to.
