NOS Ibis Sonoma

Recieved today from the States...unpacked and quickly realised it is too dinky for me....damn...I'll get it right one day
Bit of research and it seems this is classified as a 49.5 with a 53 ctc top.1" headtube.
Beautiful NOS frame...never built...around '99 I believe

I will interested in something classified as a 54cm in exchange...of similar quality...this is very light btw

I'm still in the learning curve regarding road frame sizing...i thought the effective 53.5 top would be fine but it is clearly too small......such a shame

I'm about 5'9" with stumps for legs (29" inside) but longish torso.

My ex-Ibis was 56.5 top which was a bit stretchy but the seat-tube was 55.5 ...it felt a wee too big for me

Hmm. I am about 5'9" but with longer legs. That's going to be a bit too small at 49cm isn't it. Probably suit somebody around 5'6" - 5'7".

I guess so Monty....I'm blipping gutted after the wait for delivery from the States etc......I should have spend more time checking the size

I nearly had a bid on that but I think I have come to the same conclusion as you that I really need a 54cm frame. Hang it on the wall and toast it with a nice full bodied red
