Everyday use I like Velociraptors, for extreme mud you'll do well to find better than Panaracer Spike.

I've got a few as it goes;

Love the Panaracer Smoke Lite (1.9" width) so good at penetrating mud in wet conditions.

Proper Tioga Psycho's (not the II's), awesome tyres, so good on the front in dry conditions.

Lastly I love the Dawg range of tyres from Tioga. I had a Hound dawg that I used on the front for a few years & the Wonder Dawg was also very good. I have a pair of NOS ones in the garage awaiting a project of some kind.

Your right on the button regarding the Hound Dawg.Awesome front tire in anything loose.
